The 1999 FCXST was the first and last year of the 80 cubic Inch Evolution Engine with a Softail Standard.  In 2000 they Kept the Softail Standard (FXST) but moved to the Twin Cam 88 cubic inch motor.

The gas tanks are actually 2 separate tanks, there is no gas gauge, it has a carburetor, etc..
I can't exactly call it old school but it is defiantly not a bike for a RUB (Rich Urban Biker).  Over the years its had some changes and that's basically what this page is about how it went from the picture on the left to the picture on right.

October 1998 is when I actually got the bike, and back then Harley-Davidsons had an unlimited mileage 12 month warrantee so not much happened to the bike for the first 12months.
Itemized Changes:
First 12 months
Pipes (the first of many) tired Screaming Eagle Stage 1
Carburetor - Added the Screaming Eagle Stage 1
The Small accident (over the curb in wet grass)
 White Brothers Porker Pipe
HD Drag bars on the front
Sent the CV Carb off to Zippers performance Shop
Rubbing compound to fix the paint
It ran better but still was no where near its potential so we added a few things:
 Andrews EV38 Cam
S&S Super E carb with K&N air filter
 Andrews Fully adjustable push rods.
 HD Badlander seat

New 4 caliper chrome break on front wheel replacing stock single caliper

New Kuryakyn vertical side mount license frame with integrated break light mounted to swing arm
New foot pegs with extensions and heal rests (keep feet out of drive and off pipes)
New Kick stand extension (to reach around 3" belt drive)
All new custom paint - Black with Blue ghost flames
New rear fender required paint, front right tank needed paint and body work
