My ramblings (Over all feelings; Why this Gun; is it worth it):

This pistol was special ordered and took over 6 months from Springfield Armory's custom shop.
The customizations are as follows:
Combat action job (4-4.5 lb. pull)
  Reduced over travel on trigger
Springfield Custom fiber optic sights (red front, green rear)
  Extended magazine release
Stainless steel full length guide rod
I also added M3 Tactical illuminator, 16 round magazines, XD GEAR™ Magazine Loader, XD GEAR™ Belt Slide  Holster, and XD GEAR™ Belt Slide Double Magazine Pouch.

Its a very good pistol and I know I have shot over 800 rounds through it without issue.  I like the longer tactical versions because of the increased sight radius and has a longer barrel allowing it to be more accurate. However the reduced trigger pull, reduced travel and addition of a full length guide rod have increased an already stable platform.
