| Its browning modified locking system has in essence been around for 100 years and is very reliable. The removal of the barrel link makes it more reliable and easier to reassemble. | ||

| Price | High | |
| Availability | Limited | |
| Modularity / Accessories | low (most stuff is for standard USPs) | |
| Accuracy | Very Good | |
| Reliability | Very Good | |
| Ease of field Stripping | ||
| Very easy because of the modified design there is no link assembly to line up when it comes time to put everything back together. No tools required however all the parts do fall free. | ||
| Ergonomics | ||
| The USP have V (Variant) configurations for left and right handed people, basically the controls can be switched. With the addition of the Jet-Funnel (extended magazine well) it fits very easy into your hand and makes magazine changes very easy and fast. | ||
| Sighting System (Optics) | ||
| Sight radius is 6.22" Target sights with micrometer adjustment for windage and elevation. As far as pistol sights these are very accurate, however because they are large enough to work when a large silencer is on the front you may have trouble finding a holster and the sights have no nighttime illumination. | ||

My ramblings (Over all feelings; Why this Gun; is it worth it):
| The USP SD I purchased had the Jet Funnel pre-assembled so it came with 18 round magazines and thread protector for the threaded barrel. I have looked at USP's for a long time and had never seen this configuration before and was compelled to acquire it, and am very happy that I did. It is the best shooting pistol I have, it is more feature rich and more precise than my custom built Springfield XD Tactical but it is also more expensive. It is fare to say I don't carry this gun concealed, however I do use this gun in most qualifications and competitions. I have added an M3 light to the pistol and purchased a few of the hard to find 18 round magazines and that is it; and I feel that is all it needed or will ever need. The Heckler & Koch USP9SD is a full size USP9 variant 1 (SA/DA) 9mm x 19 NATO pistol fitted with a frame mounted left side control lever that acts as a combined manual safety and decocking lever. The standard USP9SD is fitted with match trigger parts and click adjustable sights of sufficient height to see over the mounted optional sound suppressor. The barrel is threaded left hand, does not have an o-ring and does not require a thread cap (however this model came with a thread cap). Features · threaded O-ring barrel with polygonal bore profile · high profile target sights · target sights with micrometer adjustment for windage and elevation · one piece machined, nitro-carburized steel slide |
